Step onto an active construction site and get an inside look at the transformation of a future community landmark. Join the AIA New Orleans Mentorship Program on October 20 for the Hard Hat Tour: St. Jude Community Center Renovation at 400 N. Rampart Street.
This historic building is currently undergoing a comprehensive renovation that includes significant structural, MEP, and interior improvements. During the tour, attendees will witness the project in progress, with heavy timber structural repairs and interior framing expected to be underway, and gain valuable insight into the complexities of renovating and adapting an existing building for a new community-focused purpose.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn about construction sequencing, adaptive reuse strategies, and the collaborative efforts required to bring a major renovation project to life.
