The AIA New Orleans Design Awards celebrates the best of New Orleans architecture, design and the vibrant community that makes them reality. On the evening of July 11, architects, affiliates, and community members across the city will join us at Generations Hall in the city’s Central Business District.  This event has become a staple event for New Orleans’ architects and A/E/C industry partners. We expect 350 architects, designers, engineers, contractors and other industry-partners.

6pm * VIP Patron Party – Open to sponsors at the Exhibition Sponsor level or above, held at Generations Hall, Metro 1 Mezzanine level

7pm * Design Awards Gala – Our main event featuring 14 awards categories, with commendation, merit, honor and sustainable achievement awards, presented by our category sponsors.

10pm * Post-Gala Fete – A/E/C industry professionals from our Design Awards Gala take over The Rusty Nail for post-gala drinks and socializing into the evening.

We are proud to introduce two new changes to this year’s Design Awards… the separation of our historic preservation category into two categories: Historic Preservation & Restoration, and Adaptive Reuse & Renovation; and the Sustainability Achievement Award, an addition to our award levels of Honor, Merit, and Commendation, which recognizes a submission’s sustainability impact using criteria from AIA’s Framework for Design Excellence 10 Principles. Please note that at least one principle must be met in order to be considered for the Sustainability Achievement Award.
