This is an Open Call to join the AIA Committee on the Environment (COTE), New Orleans Chapter.

Join this virtual meeting on Tuesday, August 16th at 2:30pm if you are interested in being a member of the committee and want to:

– Learn about and work towards future Environmental Advocacy and Equity efforts in the design community.

– Interact with other like-minded design professionals who have experience implementing sustainable design practices within their work.

– Incorporate the Framework for Design Excellence into your studio’s workflow.

– Better understand the effects of Energy Usage and Embodied Carbon on sustainable design.

** Committee membership and participation does NOT require AIA membership or an architectural background **

Our featured guest will be Kira Gould, Hon. AIA who is a leader in AIA National’s COTE, was a key figure in launching New York’s COTE and was a part of the team who advanced the ideals of design excellence and refined the COTE Top Ten Measures, “leading to their adoption as the core of the AIA Framework for Design Excellence.” Most recently, she plays an instrumental role in planning and executing the annual COTE Open Forum at the AIA Conference on Architecture.
