Lecture Series

AIA New Orleans is proud to host an average of 10 architecture, design and preservation lectures each year through its partnership with Tulane University School of Architecture.  Recent speakers have included Enrique Norton, Preston Scott Cohen, George Hargreaves, Ammar Eloueini, Barry Bergdoll, and Jeanne Gang. Building Tours –
Held the 3rd Thursday of each month, AIA New Orleans’ Building Tours offer members and the public a free opportunity to tour some of the newest and most intriguing architecture in New Orleans. With tours led by the architects and builders themselves, this is a unique ‘behind the scenes’ viewing opportunity where one can ask direct design and construction questions on site while previewing some of New Orleans most notable new structures. Continuing Education Credits Apply.
 
Sustainable Design Series –
Held the 3rd Wednesday of each month in partner with Global Green and USGBC-Louisiana, AIA New Orleans is pleased to offer a learning opportunity that explores local and national sustainable design.  The Sustainable Design Series is a platform to discuss “greening” our local community with industry decision makers and enthusiasts alike.  Recent events have included lectures by prominent ‘green’ experts, and case studies of recently completed sustainable designs.  Continuing Education Credits Apply.
